Japan's Friendship Ties Programme "MIRAI 2023": application deadline 11 September 2023 (new date)

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Embassy of Japan in Norway is delighted to welcome applications from students in Norway to Japan's Friendship Ties Programme "MIRAI 2023." MIRAI aims to deepen participants’ understanding of Japan and its policy, to promote mutual understanding, and thus build a basis for future friendship and cooperation between Japan and other regions.

The MIRAI 2023 is two-fold, and consists of a) visiting Japan and b) online programme. Application deadline is 11 September 2023 (new date). 

For the MIRAI Visiting Japan Programme the successful candidates will participate in a one-week tour of Japan during the time period November 2023 to February 2024. The following thematic tours are open to applicants from Norway: Diplomacy and Security Policy (14-21 Nov); Economy and Business (14-21 Nov); Science and Technology (13-20 Feb); and Environment and Green (14-21 Nov).

Application deadline is 11 September 2023.
