Call for applications: MIRAI program 2016

On behalf of Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Japan in Norway is happy to announce that we are accepting applications for the short term invitation program MIRAI 2016, a youth program inviting about 200 graduate and undergraduate students from Europe, Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus to Japan.

The invitation program for Norwegian participants will take place in 6 – 13 September 2016 in Japan. Visits may include several top-notch technological and infrastructural sites, unique historical and cultural sites, and some academically beneficial opportunities including a seminar with Japanese students in Tokyo. The program reception will be held in downtown Tokyo.

Eligible to apply are those who at the time of 6 September 2016 fulfil the following criteria:

• Norwegian citizen
• Student enrolled at a university or college in Norway or abroad within one or more of the following fields: Political science, law, economics, history, journalism and area studies
• 20+ years old
• Have previously not spent more than 6 months in Japan
