Webinar on the International Group of Eminent Persons for a World without Nuclear Weapons (IGEP)

On 20 February 2026, 03:30-05:00 (Local time in Oslo), the 3rd webinar on the International Group of Eminent Persons for a World without Nuclear Weapons (IGEP) will be held. Since its establishment in 2022, the IGEP has offered a forum for its 15 members from diverse backgrounds to exchange ideas on achieving a world without nuclear weapons, regardless of their national positions.
Based on the recommendations issued at its 6th meeting, this 3rd and final IGEP webinar will provide a valuable opportunity for in depth discussions ahead of the 11th NPT Review Conference. To further enrich the dialogue, Japan have invited three IGEP members as panelists, along with H.E. Mr. Do Hung Viet, President-designate of the 11th NPT Review Conference (Permanent Representative of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to the United Nations in New York).
