The Embassy of Japan in Norway, in co-operation with the Munch Museum, invites you to a unique musical experience from two high-profile musicians from Japan: Chie Hanawa on the tsugaru-shamisen (a Japanese lute) and Kazuya Sato on the shinobue (a Japanese traverse flute). In addition, Tamami Hirota accompanies the musicians on piano.
The music they will perform is a cross-genre mix of traditional elements and popular music. In Japan, their music is achieving increasing popularity, and the musicians hold concerts throughout the country. Their visit to Oslo is part of a larger European tour supported by the Japan Foundation.
The concert is free and open for all. Guests are kindly asked to register by email event@os.mofa.go.jp or by phone 22 01 29 00.
